Halling & Cayo, S.C. has an innovative approach to flat fee litigation, which distinguishes the firm on a local and national level. While some firms offer “price menus” for specific legal events, our firm aims to provide total cost transparency for the entire life of a case.

We utilize advanced machine learning and regression analysis to move away from a “one-size-fits-all” pricing model. By using specific algorithms and data inputs, we can generate a customized price that is unique to the complexities of each individual legal matter.

This technological integration allows clients to budget more effectively for their litigation needs from the very beginning. By providing a distinct price for every case, the firm ensures a tailored financial experience that avoids the uncertainty often associated with traditional legal billing.

TRANSCRIPT:

“I think this initiative to do flat fee litigation is really setting us apart from firms here locally, statewide, and I think nationally. I spent some time trying to find if other firms were doing it, if nothing else to see if there’s something I wasn’t thinking of or we hadn’t contemplated as we’re putting it together, and there’s a surprising few who are trying to do it. The closest thing I see are basically menus of prices where they turn, you know, events in a litigation into a fixed price, and that’s fine as far as it goes, but it doesn’t actually help you budget for your case because you still don’t know how much the whole thing is gonna cost you.

I think what’s really happened is the advent of machine learning and artificial intelligence—whatever you want to call it—but the regression analysis stuff that we had put together has really allowed us to give a price that’s really unique for each case. I think that’s where so many firms fell down on the path to have tried to do it is that they tried to do a one-size-fits-all and shoehorn everybody’s case up to it. And now, because we have a distinct algorithm for each with the various inputs that we put in, we can really come up with a customized price. Each case is going to have a different price at different points, and I think that’s gonna be the key for success.”
