Michael has practiced commercial litigation for more than 36 years with a focus on securities and trade secret litigation. In addition, he has led internal corporate investigations and represented officers and directors of public companies in investigations initiated by the Securities and Exchange Commission. His clients have included Fortune 100 companies, hedge funds as well as startup companies, individual investors, investment advisers, brokers and broker-dealers. He has also successfully argued appeals before the Wisconsin and Delaware Supreme Courts and in the federal courts of appeals for the Third, Seventh, Eighth, Ninth and Tenth Circuits.
Michael received his B.A. from Grinnell College in 1970. He attended the Hebrew University in Jerusalem in 1968-69 as a special student. He received his J.D. from the Northwestern University School of Law in 1974 and was elected to the Editorial Board of the Northwestern University Law review.
Prior Legal Experience:
Following law school, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Thomas E. Fairchild, Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He also practiced law at Quarles & Brady for 36 years specializing in securities, trade secret and general commercial litigation.
Community Involvement:
Michael has served as the president of the Milwaukee Jewish Day School and the Academy of Learning and Leadership. He has served as a board member of Big Brothers& Big Sisters, the Milwaukee Jewish Federation, Hillel Foundation, the Milwaukee Association for Jewish Education and Congregation Sinai.

Michael is a member of the Wisconsin and Illinois Bar Associations and he is licensed to practice in both states. He is also admitted to practice in the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin as well as the Seventh Circuit.
