Melissa’s practice focuses on civil disputes, business litigation, insurance defense and securities litigation.
Melissa was born and raised in Milwaukee. After receiving her Mechanical Engineering degree from Purdue University, she worked for several large equipment manufacturing companies in Wisconsin before pursuing her law degree at Marquette University Law School.
During law school, Melissa served as a judicial intern to Justice Jon P. Wilcox of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. After receiving her J.D., she began her legal career at a national law firm where she practiced in a wide range of defense litigation and appellate matters.
Melissa’s legal experience also includes serving as a litigation attorney for the Dallas City Attorney’s Office, one of the largest municipal legal departments in the nation, and as an assistant general counsel for the Government of the District of Columbia, Office of the Chief Financial Officer.
